ok... about robots. I when reading this thaught of like cammanders. In WZ, someone probably already said this as I remmeber reading it somewhere. But it would be cool if you could assign an AI to a cammander and it would do what it was programmed for... like search a square defined region of the map... so on and so forth. And also along these lines... it would be cool to have users, be able to program there own cammander from within WZ's menu's, using common cammands.. improving functionality of your cammander yourself, thus making it so a better scripter has better cammanders. Another thing to do woukd be: as experience in a cammander grows... allow larger scripts (AI's) to be assinged to it. Maybey this could be another added function under design button while in the game. Or maybey a new thing kind of like forces in MP. Any way, this would be neat to see. (someone wanna check for me to see if there is anything over at code-redev, if not suggest this... I am too busy today to do it)

Rman's Thoughts On It[]

  • Basically encompassed in 2 Threads on
  • New Gameplay Mechanics:
  • As far as WHAT the Code ReDev Project has to do ?
  • String Support (Troman has done already.)
  • Widget Limits & New COMMAND GUI
  • Additional Script Lang Functions (Troman has also done already.)
  • "ECM" functionality extention.
  • Greater Modularization apart from the core game engine so all these components become more readily extensible.
  • HOW would you summarize all that for the Code ReDev Project ?

yes, I looked at that. Very neat. Reminds me of starcraft protoss carriors, which were giant carrior ships whuch built its own flying scouts that faught, 8 or so to a carrior. I probably spelled carrior wrong..? As for those script things, I didn't know anyone was doing anyhting of the sort. Glad it is though.

And I will say it once more, this is somthing for the future, (aka. after 1st public build)

Ah ha... see that === thing up there, it don't work unless it has a whole line to itself, gatta fix that. Or make a way to emphasize words...
